Author's note

Beltane font by Starving-4 Entertainment is a free eroded display typeface that looks like it’s been dragged through soot and smoke. The letters feel burned and weathered, with rough edges and ink-blot textures that suggest old ritual posters tacked to a stone wall. It has a strong, uneven rhythm that pulls the eye across a word, giving headlines a raw, handmade energy that’s hard to fake with filters alone.

This free font shines on horror movie titles, Halloween flyers, dark fantasy book covers, occult zines, escape room branding, metal or folk album art, and moody social media graphics. Using Beltane in large sizes lets the gritty details really show; pair it with a plain, modern sans serif for body text to keep everything readable while the Beltane font carries the atmosphere.
