Author's note

Caduceus font by Tepid Monkey Fonts is a free distorted display typeface with a strange, slithering elegance. Its thin, uneven strokes and subtly warped curves feel like ink that’s been nudged by something unseen—just enough to make words look uncanny without becoming unreadable. There’s a quiet, witchy energy to it, like old apothecary labels or a spellbook title that’s been handled a bit too often.

Using Caduceus, you can give instant mood to book covers, occult zines, fantasy game titles, haunted event posters, potion-themed packaging, and eerie logotypes. The rhythm between thick and skinny segments keeps lines feeling alive, so it works beautifully for short phrases and headings rather than long text blocks. This free font pairs well with a clean geometric sans in small caps, letting Caduceus handle the drama while the body copy stays calm and legible.
