Author's note

fStop font is a free eroded display typeface with a wonderfully gloopy, hand-worn feel. The chunky, rounded forms look like they’ve been softened at the edges and nudged off-center, giving words a playful wobble and a slightly unruly energy. Thick strokes and irregular contours keep the texture bold and inky, so even with its distressed personality, every letter stays loud and legible.

Using fStop, headings feel like they’ve been stamped onto a poster or splashed onto a wall, which works beautifully for gig flyers, indie album covers, zines, craft packaging, bold social graphics, and quirky brand logos. This free font shines when set large, letting the bulbous curves and eroded details really show; pair it with a clean geometric sans in smaller text to keep layouts readable and grounded.
