Author's note

Seafaring, a free old-style serif by Digital Empires, leans into a literary, slightly maritime mood rather than a strict bookish one. The letters mix broad, graceful curves with sharp wedge-like finishing touches, so the font feels formal at first glance but still a little windswept and story-driven.

That gives this free font a natural place on historical packaging, novel covers, boutique branding, poster headlines, and menu titles where you want a classic tone with more character than a neutral serif. It also works well for short pull quotes, chapter openings, and title cards, because those sweeping curves and pointed details give even a few words a distinct voice.
