Author's note

10 Cent Soviet font by Nate Piekos of Blambot is a free Russian-style foreign typeface with a bold, hand-lettered punch. Chunky, slightly uneven strokes and squarish curves give each letter a rough, inky feel, like it was stamped onto cheap newsprint or splashed across an old propaganda poster. There’s a comic-book energy here too-the forms are loose and bouncy rather than rigid, so the type feels loud, informal, and a little mischievous.

Using 10 Cent Soviet, you can instantly signal “Soviet-era” or “Eastern bloc” flavor for parody posters, retro game titles, zines, punk flyers, themed menus, or bold social graphics. This free font shines in large sizes where its handmade texture can breathe; pair it with a clean, neutral sans serif for body copy to keep things readable while the headline does the shouting.
