Author's note

1550 Arabesques by Gilles Le Corre of GLC Foundry is a free ornamental initials font built from dense Renaissance-style flourishes. The letters are framed by curling leaves, mirrored scrollwork, and dark, engraved-looking shapes that give each initial the richness of a printer's ornament.

It can turn a book opening into an illustrated emblem. This construction suits historical posters, invitations, and heritage packaging, where the initial can function as part of the border or product identity rather than lettering.
