Author's note

18th Century Kurrent Text by Peter Wiegel is a free calligraphic script with the poised sweep of formal penmanship. Sharp stroke changes and long looping flourishes form an elegant, restless silhouette.

The typeface can turn an invitation or event program into a piece of period lettering rather than ordinary display text. It also suits historical publishing, fashion branding, and theatrical posters, especially in designs with ceremonial drama. The sweeping loops can strongly echo ribbon, engraved ornament, or fine line illustration, tying the lettering directly to the surrounding artwork.
