Author's note

3x3-block by Marc Beekhuis is a free geometric 3D display font built from compact, right-angled forms arranged in a strict three-by-three logic. Its letters resemble small modular structures, with square cutouts and abrupt stepped edges shaping a dense, mechanical silhouette. Deep, consistent offset faces turn the block shapes into solid objects and add a strong, unmistakable arcade-era perspective.

Retro computing and arcade graphics are its clearest territory. The same constructed look suits game branding, electronic music posters, tech-event signage, and merchandise, where the recurring cube-like sections can become part of circuit, pixel, or architectural artwork rather than serving as ordinary text.
