AbcKids by Ramón Abajo of DownHill Fonts is a free childlike handwritten font with tall, loosely drawn letters. The uneven strokes and shifting angles resemble marker writing, giving the alphabet an open, unstudied look. Rounded curves and pointed joins give the shapes an energetic, sketchbook quality.
School-day themes and youthful stories suit its handmade manner, especially in children's publishing and classroom posters. On toy packaging, the irregular lettering can echo crayon drawings and simple character art. It also fits casual game titles and craft branding built around a playful, homemade theme.
