Author's note

Acid Bold Italic by Stephan Baum is a free italic sans serif with a sharply forward stance and loose hand-drawn proportions. Its changing stroke widths and slightly uneven curves keep the letters from looking mechanical. The result feels brisk and direct.

Posters are its most convincing medium, with the slant also fitting record packaging, club flyers, and fashion editorial pages. In those settings, the lettering can become part of an angled logo or sign rather than simple supporting text.
