Action Is JL, designed by Brad Nelson and Jeff Levine, is a free groovy display font with towering, irregular letters and a strong late-1960s poster flavor. Thick strokes pinch sharply at the waist, and recurring spiral cutouts turn the dark shapes into playful ornaments.
Music posters and candy packaging draw on the same warped curves, though one reads as psychedelic and the other as mischievous. It also suits festival merchandise and album covers. Its spirals can echo records, lollipops, or curling patterns within the surrounding artwork.

Description
Based on a title page for a photo scrapbook featuring pictures from the mid-60's TV show "Where The Action Is". This typeface was used in various projects in the 60's,but I did not have a full character set to work with. I modified letters to complete the font, and Brad Nelson fine-tuned them before scanning.
