Action Jackson by Tom Murphy is a free cartoon display font built from chunky, irregular caps with hand-drawn outlines, offset shadows, and deep blocky sides with a deliberately uneven finish. Tilted angles and swollen curves keep the lettering loose and lively.
Its comic-book construction can give children's entertainment, arcade game graphics, and animated event posters the same rambunctious punch it brings to novelty packaging and playful merchandise. It is most convincing in poster work, where the oversized contours and chunky shadows can become part of the illustration rather than ordinary lettering.
