Author's note

AE Mashq, by Arabeyes.org, is a free high-contrast serif font with a distinctly classical, almost Didone air. The letters pair broad, dark strokes with very fine hairlines and crisp serifs, giving even this small showing a formal rhythm, while the rounded lowercase shapes keep it from feeling stiff.

It fits work that wants literary or editorial tone: book covers, magazine mastheads, poster titles, cultural event graphics, and short branding lines. As a free font, it also suits title cards, pull quotes, and monograms, where that tall, commanding M and the smooth, open lowercase forms can do the talking fast.
