Author's note

AE Sharjah, a free serif font from Arabeyes.org, has a calm, bookish voice with a lightly calligraphic feel. The letters mix broad, rounded curves with sharp finishing touches, so the font feels rooted in classic print lettering rather than strict modern geometry.

It sits naturally in editorial headings, literary covers, cultural posters, museum graphics, and article openers where a little tradition helps set the tone. As a free font, it also works well for pull quotes, short title lines, and monogram-like initials, because those sweeping curves and firm serifs give even a few letters an unmistakably old-world presence.
