Author's note

Aerologica by Gene Buban of FontStruct is a free outlined display font with tall, compact caps and an engineered, three-dimensional build. Multiple contour lines trace the letterforms, and angled inner cuts give them the look of fabricated metal signage. The effect is technical and assertive.

Aviation event posters are its clearest fit, especially when the lettering can echo aircraft markings and instrument graphics. The same constructed shapes suit motorsport branding, game title screens, and science-fiction merchandise, where the layered edges can function almost like an illustration. It will appeal most to designers working with aerospace, mechanical, or retro-futurist themes.
