AEZinsects by Anastacia E. Zittel is a free insect dingbat font built from detailed, hand-drawn bug illustrations with the stark black-ink detail of old specimen engravings rather than simplified symbols. The figures combine dark segmented bodies, fine legs and antennae, and veined wings, giving the collection the look of an old entomologist's specimen cabinet.
The recognizable anatomy gives natural history publishing a specimen-book quality, but the dense ink work also has the sharper edge needed for alternative music posters and band merchandise. It also suits entomology exhibits and curiosity-shop packaging.
