Author's note

Alcefun by Timothy Gao is a free light geometric sans serif with unusually wide, open proportions and very fine, nearly uniform strokes. The pointed capitals add a crisp edge.

Line drawings and minimalist product photography echo its thin, precise construction, making it apt for fashion lookbooks and gallery posters. Its airy curves also suit high-end cosmetics packaging, where the lettering supports a restrained contemporary identity. Editorial section titles and cultural event programs are another convincing setting for its elegant geometry.
