Author's note

AlKatib 1, by Naseem Amjad Ali Khan, is a free Arabic calligraphic font with broad, sweeping strokes and crisp pointed turns that feel rooted in headline lettering. The letters move with a low horizontal flow, while the dots and sharp cuts give the script a brisk, chiselled rhythm instead of a soft handwritten mood.

It fits branding for cultural events, book covers, restaurant menus, poster titles, and title cards where the script itself needs to carry the atmosphere. As a free font, it also makes sense for short editorial lines, mastheads, and drop-in display words, because those long connected forms and emphatic dots hold attention in just a few characters.
