AlphaRuler Font

Alpha Ruler, designed by Albert-Jan Pool of QDutch Design, is a free eroded display font with lanky, roughly drawn lettering, pinched joins, and abrupt changes of direction. Its thin strokes buckle, overlap, and occasionally split into doubled lines.

The scratchy outlines echo the restless linework of underground-comic illustration, a useful connection for gig posters and album artwork. It can also turn streetwear packaging or skate merchandise into something that resembles a quick marker tag rather than conventional branding. Across these uses, the same wiry distortion links lettering to drawing and gives youth-culture graphics an intentionally raw edge.
