Alt Retro Light, credited to Andreas Leonidou, is a free groovy retro display font with broad, rounded capitals traced by many fine parallel lines. Its looping construction recalls 1970s optical graphics, giving the lettering a wide, fluid silhouette and an almost maze-like interior.
Contour-line illustrations and radiating patterns share the font's repeated curves, making it especially apt for music posters and album covers. It can also shape festival graphics, fashion merchandise, and retro packaging with a distinctly psychedelic edge. Its clearest role is as the central lettering in a 1970s-inspired music design.
