AmharQ from the MahNishtahnah Project is a free Ethiopic display font with broad rounded forms and sharply changing stroke widths. Its dark curves are punctuated by narrow joins and clipped wedge-like tips. The silhouettes feel lively and emphatic.
Its hooked contours can echo woven patterns or sweeping line art in cultural posters and exhibition graphics. Theatrical event titles and music packaging also suit its strong cadence. In illustrated publishing, the letters can become part of the decorative border itself.
