Author's note

Amplifica, created by Gene Buban of FontStruct, is a free heavy geometric sans serif with a blunt, compact build. Broad vertical strokes and tightly fitted letters form a dense silhouette, softened by rounded arches and curves. The shapes feel engineered and direct, with squared cuts and simple construction lending the face an assertive, industrial edge.

It suits both music posters and sports branding. The same solid mass can turn product packaging into a stamped label or give event signage the force of block lettering, linking these different settings through its compressed spacing and sturdy forms.
