Amputierte is a free distorted display font built around radical subtraction, with broad sections of each letter seemingly sliced away. What remains is a set of blunt geometric fragments, sharp diagonal cuts, and isolated bars held together by the reader's instinct to complete the forms.
Its fractured rhythm suits experimental posters, album artwork, exhibition graphics, editorial openers, and title cards where a short phrase can carry the composition. This free font works best at a commanding scale, where the missing pieces feel deliberate and the surviving shapes have room to create tension.
