Author's note

Anagram Shadow, Nick Curtis's free retro curly display font, leans into playful 1930s-style show lettering with a bold shadow that kicks the caps off the page. The letters mix chunky geometric shapes with tight spiral curls at the peaks and corners, so the font feels equal parts carnival poster and comic-title swagger.

It works well for throwback packaging, diner menus, poster headlines, title cards, and cover lines where a few words need a jaunty, old-showbiz push. As a free font, it also suits monograms and short logo-style names, because the curled caps and offset shadow give even simple initials a built-in sense of motion.
