Ancient Hellenic, designed by Ioannis Barounis, is a free Greek-inspired display font with sharply drawn, uneven capitals. Its narrow strokes shift between spear-like angles and broad, rounded curves. Several letters use broken crossbars or open joins.
Mythology and classical antiquity are the clearest themes for this lettering, making it apt for event posters and game graphics. Its raw, incised look can also suit album artwork and festival merchandise with a pagan or folk direction. In publishing, it can turn chapter headings and cover lines into references to inscriptions.
