Anglo Saxon Runes, designed by James M. Anderson of FSI FontShop International GmbH, is a free runic display font built from stark, monoline strokes. Its letters use long uprights, sharp diagonals, and open joins that recall marks cut into wood or stone. The construction is spare and angular.
Those carved-looking forms can become part of rune illustrations or geometric icon systems in fantasy game interfaces and historical publishing. They also suit metal merchandise, folklore event posters, and branding for themed venues, where the lettering can function as an emblem as much as a name.
