Author's note

Annapurna SIL, designed by Peter Martin of SIL International, is a free serif font with broad classical forms and pronounced thick-to-thin stroke changes. Its proportions are generous and calm.

Cultural institutions and scholarly publishers could use its formal, bookish manner for exhibition materials, museum programs, and academic journals. The substantial capitals also suit literary event posters, where their open shapes and crisp serifs lend authority without looking ornate. In editorial design, it is especially convincing for feature headings and section titles that need a traditional typographic voice across longer publications.
