Author's note

Anson font is a free retro sans serif typeface that feels like a streamlined nod to mid‑century signage. Its tall, triangular A, circular counters, and slender monoline strokes give it a clean, airy presence that still has plenty of character. Letters connect visually with smooth, looping curves, so words look like they’ve been drawn with a single steady pen rather than assembled from rigid parts.

Using Anson, you get a soft, approachable rhythm that shines on posters, logos, packaging, editorial titles, lifestyle branding, and social graphics. The light, even texture keeps text readable at medium sizes while still looking distinctive enough for headlines. This free font works beautifully paired with a plain grotesque or geometric sans for body copy; set Anson slightly larger with generous letterspacing to let its retro curves breathe.
