Antikythera Condensed Font

Antikythera Condensed, created in 2012 by Iconian Fonts, is a free Greek-style display font with towering capitals. Deep wedges and abrupt diagonal cuts break up the otherwise solid strokes. The effect is severe and architectural.

Its chiseled shapes can echo angular illustration in myth-themed posters and game artwork, or form a motif on album covers. The repeated spear-like notches also suit museum-event graphics and historical-fiction publishing, where the classical reference can become part of the border or emblem.

Antikythera is a title font named after the Antikythera mechanism, which was found off the coast of a Greek island several decades ago. Historians consider the device the first real computer; another device with similar functionality and engineering would not appear for several more centuries.
