Author's note

Architects Daughter, designed by Kimberly Geswein, is a free handwritten font with the open, unpolished look of quick marker lettering. Tall narrow letters and generous rounded loops keep the line lively. Stroke widths vary slightly, and the uneven shapes feel drawn rather than carefully typeset.

Designers working on friendly, informal material can use it for classroom posters, children's publishing, cafe menus, and craft packaging, where its directness suits conversational messages. In magazines, it gives captions the voice of handwritten notes.
