Archive by Slava Kirilenko is a free heavy sans serif with broad, emphatic capital forms and softly rounded corners. Its low-contrast strokes create a dense, even band of lettering, yet the generous inner spaces keep the shapes from looking sealed shut. Flat-ended joints, broad curves, and a wide stance give the otherwise plain construction a restrained industrial edge.
Poster campaigns are its most convincing setting, with the blunt weight also fitting festival signage, sports branding, record covers, and bold food packaging, all helped by its sturdy, uncomplicated lettering. Archive is especially effective as a direct, oversized poster headline.
