Armata by Sorkin Type Co is a free sans serif with tall, open lettering and subtly changing stroke widths. Its broad capitals have clean verticals, gently shaped curves, and a firm, architectural silhouette. The lowercase forms are compact and soft.
Those measured shapes make a link to architectural photography and geometric illustration. They suit museum posters, editorial spreads, and cultural branding, where the type can echo strong lines without looking severe. Armata is especially convincing in exhibition identities.
Armata is a low contrast sans serif text face. In Aramata we find a mixture of a the familiar shapes and an aesthetic steadiness and strength with a small number of innovative and delicate gestures. Armata can be used in a wide range of sizes.
