Author's note

ArnoldBoecklin ExtraBold, from Publishers' Paradise BBS, is a free Art Nouveau display font with broad, theatrical letterforms. Curled serifs and teardrop-like cut-ins turn the sturdy strokes into decorative shapes. The uneven contours give the lettering a hand-drawn, poster-like warmth.

Its turn-of-the-century character suits vintage theater posters and music packaging, especially for projects seeking ornate lettering. The unusual curves can also support boutique branding and decorative book covers with a fantastical or bohemian subject. It is strongest in titles, where hooked details become part of the illustration.
