Arvada, designed by Andy Krahling of Sunwalk Designs, is a free decorative serif display font with a cut-paper silhouette, pronounced changes in stroke width, and uneven contours that resemble roughly trimmed paper. Sharp notches interrupt the broad, curving letters at several points.
Packaging is an especially good setting for its hand-cut edges, particularly on craft foods and small-batch drinks, where the lettering can echo hand-painted shop signs. Posters and album covers also suit the irregular shapes, and on fantasy or folk-themed projects the pointed cuts can turn a title into an illustrated crest or carved sign within the artwork itself.
