Asap Italic by Pablo Cosgaya of Omnibus-Type is a free italic sans serif with an open, informal shape. Its gently swelling strokes and rounded joins soften the forward lean. The lettering feels quick but controlled.
That balance suits event posters and food packaging, where a conversational voice can still look organized, as well as digital campaign graphics. In magazines and editorial features, it can give pull quotes or section headings a brisk, approachable character.
Asap is based on Ancha (designed by Pablo Cosgaya & Hector Gatti). This family, specially developed for screen and desktop use, offers of a standarised character width on all styles, which helps retain the same length on all text lines.
