Author's note

AshcanBB by Nate Piekos of Blambot.com is a free brush display font with chunky, hand-painted lettering. Its uneven strokes and blunt, slightly ragged ends give the forms the directness of quick marker work. The letters lean and bounce in different directions.

Comic covers are its strongest setting, especially for scrappy humor, rowdy characters, or rough urban scenes. The same handmade force can shape band posters and merchandise, where the irregular silhouettes read like custom lettering rather than polished type. Children's packaging and game graphics offer another useful home for its friendly, unruly forms.
