Aurelis ADF No. 2 Italic by Hirwen Harendal of Arkandis Digital Foundry is a free high-contrast serif font with an elegant, theatrical slant. Long diagonal sweeps and sharply tapered curves give the capitals a distinctly drawn quality. The narrower lowercase forms keep the design lively rather than stately.

Book covers offer its most convincing setting. Its sweeping contours also suit fashion branding, perfume packaging, and cultural event posters, where the lettering can become part of an ornamental emblem.
