Author's note

Autour One from Sorkin Type Co is a free retro display font with loose, rounded forms and a hand-drawn silhouette. Gentle shifts in stroke width end in soft hooks and flared tips. The spacing feels lively rather than mechanical.

Those bulbous curves echo simple cut-paper illustration, making the font a natural fit for children's publishing, playful packaging, and event posters. In cafe branding or food merchandise, the lettering can become a cheerful illustrated label beside fruit shapes or doodled borders.

Autour is inspired by handwritten letters on Ludwig Hohlwein posters. It has been changed and adapted from the originals in a variety of ways so that it will work in paragraphs of text and as a web type. Autour can be used a in a wide range of sizes. Autour means "round" in French.
