Avast by chr.s of FontStruct is a free distorted display font built from broad curves and razor-thin joins. Repeated cuts and abrupt gaps make the letters look sliced into modular pieces. The contrast is extreme.
Fashion and nightlife are natural subjects for its sleek, slightly unsettling shapes. It could lend an experimental edge to club posters, record packaging, and magazine covers, with the broken strokes acting almost like graphic collage. Posters are its most convincing setting.
