Ayar Thawka by Ayar Unicode Group is a free serif font with tall, tightly drawn capitals and pronounced stroke contrast. Broad verticals meet fine crossbars and crisp square serifs. The lowercase is lighter and more compact.
It can give a museum poster or book cover a formal, architectural title. The same contrast suits exhibition graphics and refined packaging, lending both a stately rather than ornamental voice. The column-like verticals make it especially apt for historical and institutional subjects.
