Author's note

Bacata is an ancient-inspired free dingbat font built from bold, hand-drawn symbols that feel part pictograph, part folk ornament. Branching plants, radiant square forms, nested diamonds, and vessel-like figures share chunky outlines and an appealing carved quality.

This free font suits cultural posters, festival identities, record sleeves, editorial dividers, and packaging that calls for a primitive graphic rhythm. The symbols also work well as oversized title marks or compact emblems, where their simple geometry and irregular strokes can carry the composition without extra detail.
