Author's note

Bahij Yakout from Bahij Virtual Academy is a free high-contrast serif font with a formal, editorial bearing. Its tall letters combine broad vertical strokes with very fine hairlines and crisp, wedge-like serifs. Rounded forms stay compact, giving the setting a firm, economical pace.

Literary and cultural subjects suit its bookish structure, especially on exhibition posters and museum programs. The strong thick-thin drawing also lends fashion packaging a refined, slightly dramatic voice. It can move into magazine mastheads and restaurant branding when a traditional serif needs sharper, more contemporary proportions.
