Author's note
Bajorelle, designed and made by Benoît Macaigne, is a free cartoon display font with chunky, uneven capitals. Its broad serifs flare and pinch as if cut by hand, and the edges carry a lively wobble. The letters feel sturdy but deliberately unruly.
It is especially suited to children's book covers, where the irregular forms can echo hand-drawn artwork. The same rough humor fits toy packaging and comic posters. Its squat, old-fashioned shapes also suit frontier spoofs and adventure themes.
