Author's note

Balagan by David Kerkhoff is a free eroded outline display font with swollen, uneven capitals and a deliberately battered surface. Thick outer contours hold the letters together, but chipped interiors, scratches, and erratic edges give each form the look of worn stickers or rough screen printing.

It can turn a title into part of the artwork rather than a neutral caption. That makes it useful for punk and garage-rock posters, skateboard merchandise, and youth-oriented event graphics, especially when the design calls for noisy texture and improvised lettering. On streetwear labels or record packaging, its outlined shapes can become a recurring brand mark with the rawness of hand-cut signage.
