Ballymun RO Bold Italic by Ronald B. Ogawa is a free bold italic sans serif with a brisk, slanted rhythm and a slightly calligraphic sweep. The letters feel broad and energetic rather than rigid, with soft curves, a roomy lowercase a, and a y that finishes in a lively hooked tail, giving the font a late-20th-century editorial flavor.
It fits posters, music sleeves, magazine cover lines, sports branding, and title cards where motion matters more than neutrality. As a free font, it also works well for short headlines and wordmarks, since that forward lean and the rounded, weighty shapes make even a brief phrase feel in motion.
