Author's note

Bar-Code 39 is a free barcode dingbat font built from repeating upright bars in a measured sequence of narrow and broad strokes. Its strict vertical construction forms a dense mechanical texture, broken by crisp gaps that are as important as the solid marks. Everything is squared, spare, and deliberately impersonal.

Inventory labels are its clearest role, since the striped forms immediately suggest scanning, tracking, and industrial systems, and warehouse packaging gains the same purposeful identification-mark look. Technology posters, game interfaces, and science-fiction event graphics use the coded pattern to evoke cold surveillance, automated commerce, complex logistics, and machine-readable data systems.
