Básica by Juan Casco of FontShop International GmbH is a free techno display font built from clean, modular strokes. Its squared curves, open joins, and sharply cut gaps give the letters the look of an early digital interface, with generous widths and an even, mechanical pace.
Designers working in electronic music and retro-futurist entertainment will find it well suited to album covers, event posters, and game graphics. The segmented construction can also turn a logo into something resembling a control-panel label or machine marking. It speaks most directly to audiences drawn to arcade hardware, synthesizers, and industrial technology.
