Author's note

Baveuse font by Ray Larabie is a free comic display typeface with a wonderfully gooey, hand-drawn swagger. Its chunky, blobby letters swell and sag like wet paint, giving headlines a playful sense of motion and mischief. The loose spacing and uneven outlines feel spontaneous and fun, making anything you set in Baveuse look loud, friendly, and just a bit wild.

Using Baveuse, you can amp up kids’ posters, party invites, slime or Halloween graphics, comic covers, snack or candy branding, and playful YouTube thumbnails. This free font thrives at big sizes where its inky wobble and bold weight can really show off. Pair it with a clean, narrow sans serif for body text to keep the artwork readable while Baveuse brings the chaos on titles and captions.
