BD Equipment, designed and encoded by Lopetz04 of Buro Destruct, is a free retro display font with dramatically condensed lettering. Broad vertical strokes meet hairline-thin joins, creating severe contrast across the tall forms. The repeated rectangular cuts look mechanical and architectural.
Industrial machinery and modernist architecture are natural themes for this design. Its towering proportions suit music posters, fashion editorials, and packaging for technical or experimental products. The lettering can also give exhibition graphics the look of vintage engineering diagrams and factory signage.
