Author's note

Belle-West by Skyhaven is a free whimsical display font with tall, loosely constructed letters. Its fine strokes bend gently, and the small, uneven serifs look as though they were drawn with a quick pen. Several forms are unusually broad or narrow.

Publishing gives this lettering a useful home on literary magazine covers and poetry collections, where its wiry lines suggest an informal, curious voice. Boutique packaging, cultural event posters, and offbeat children's books can use the uneven shapes as a pen-and-ink element within an editorial illustration.
